It’s a deep and sensual massage ritual from Kashmir, a mystical part of northern India, where this technique was used to heal all parts back into union. It is a tributary of the tradition of Kashmir Shaivism.

Kashmiri massage includes all parts of the body, with no particular focus on any specific part- including the genitals. It’s not a sexually stimulating massage, though Eros can arise and is welcome if it is.
Kashmiri massage can also be referred to as ‘Dance of Touch’, as both bodies are moving slowly guided by their breath. It’s a practise of surrendering, letting go, letting yourself fall, disappearing into the void, into nothingness, while being cradled held and loved.
The intention of this type of bodywork is to collapse polarities and to enter a state of non-dual or dark Void. Through slow and deep full body contact, a feeling of ‘being back in the womb’ can arise, and often the inner children become present. This can be a very emotional experience, a going back in time to being that innocent baby, not shamed yet for body and sexuality. Kashmiri massage creates a ground to be in that field of pure, goalless touch that doesn’t want anything in return which bares the opportunity to rid shame by connecting the innocent inner child within to the sexually mature adult.

Kashmiri massage can be an initiation to connecting to the dark core within every being- darkness being the full emptiness from which everything arises, the place we were born from and the place we go back to. The mysterious force that guides the universe, existing in the vastest of things and sits right in the centre of your being.
